Questions about icu / critical care nursing
Is ICU care at home possible for every patient?
No. It depends on the patient’s condition and the doctor’s judgement. Home care can support patients who are stable enough to leave hospital, but it is not a replacement for a hospital ICU.
What should I do in an emergency?
Call 112 or take the patient to the nearest hospital immediately. Our nurse will inform the family and doctor, but we are not an emergency service.
Who provides the medical equipment?
Equipment such as oxygen, suction machines and hospital beds can be arranged on rent through us. Please call to check availability.
Can I speak to the doctor’s team about the care plan?
Yes. We encourage families to keep the treating doctor involved and to share the care plan with our nurse.
