Is 24x7 nursing provided by one person?

A single person cannot safely work without rest for a full day, so the plan is usually agreed with the family: either a caregiver who stays with suitable breaks, or separate day and night shifts. We explain the arrangement before care starts.

Can I book only night shifts?

Yes. Night-shift care of about 12 hours is available for patients who need watching after dark, including elderly people at risk of falling or confusion.

What is included in a night shift?

Medicines due at night, repositioning, help with the toilet, observing sleep and breathing, and noting anything to tell the doctor or family. The exact tasks depend on the patient.

Can 24-hour care be increased or reduced later?

Yes. As the patient recovers or needs more help, shifts can be reduced or extended. Let us know as early as you can so that we can plan staffing.
